In Maryland:

The Maryland ISA D NIT was held on Saturday, March 27. Eight teams competed in the tournament. The tournament had some very exciting games. Clydes fought through the top of the bracket while Power Up Dawgs  fought through the lower half of the bracket. Clydes and power up played an exciting game in the winners final. Clydes tied the game in the top of 7th. With 2 out in the bottom of 7th Power Up was able to push the winning run home. Clydes had to play Sudden Impact in loser bracket final. Sudden Impact lost its first game and fought through the loser’s bracket.  The game went back and forth with Sudden Impact up 2 going into the bottom of the 7th. Clydes put the first 2 on base and the next batter hit a shot up the middle, both runners took off but the ball was caught by the 2nd baseman. He steeped on 2nd and threw to first for a game ending triple play. Sudden Impact then run ruled Power Up in the Championship game and Power Up returned the favor in the “IF” Game. Power Up are the  D ISA NIT champions with Sudden Impact the runner up. Clydes finished 3rd an Nova Softball finished 4th.
